Evan Rachel Wood credits Marilyn Manson with bringing her out of her shell, insisting she's no longer the timid, shy girl she used to be.

The 19-year-old and the rocker Manson, 38, met last year while he was still married to now-estranged wife Dita Von Teese, although the couple insist they didn't start dating until his marriage was over.

And Wood is relieved Manson has finally given her the confidence to behave naturally.

She tells GQ, "I was so shy, painfully shy, for so long. For the first time, I really feel like I'm around somebody and in an environment where I can just let go and not worry about being judged."
