Melanie Brown has dodged questions about the financial settlement she's demanding from former flame Eddie Murphy.

Brown and her lawyer Gloria Allred announced they were filing a paternity suit against the Dreamgirls star earlier this month at a press conference, claiming Murphy "has not paid one penny of child support" for his four-month-old daughter, Angel Iris.

But appearing on talk show Larry King Live on Thursday, the Spice Girl refused to confirm reports she's asked the actor for a $9 million home for her and new baby.

Allred said, "We're not here to talk about finances and we're not here to counter kinds of, you know, allegations that they (Murphy's camp) may wish to make.

"Any kind of issue regarding finances will be dealt with in a court of law and that's the proper place.

"But we are here to say that he has not even asked to visit his baby. He hasn't asked. We'd like nothing more than that and this baby will always know that her mother fought for that - asked that the father be part of her life. Whether he does or not, this mother tried."
