On average, more than 2.8 million people tuned in Tuesday night at 10 p.m. to see "LA Ink's" star Kat Von D return to Los Angeles, assemble her new crew, and start building her new shop in Hollywood.

Staring Kat Von D, "LA Ink" centers on the tattoo parlor she opened in Los Angeles and features the stories behind the artists and the tattoos they create. Joining Kat Von D in the shop are three of the world’s top artists, two of whom are woman, proving that great art shares no gender bias.

An exciting shop with a rock n roll flavor, "LA Ink" is the perfect backdrop for people from all walks of life to come and get tattooed, including actors, musicians and athletes. In the first episode of LA INK we saw Kat Von D tattoo actor/musician Eric Balfour (24, Six Feet Under).

In up-coming episodes we see the cast tattoo other notable celebrities/musicians including Steve-O (MTV’s Jackass), Jesse Metcalf (Desperate Houseives), Eve, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal), Emerson Drive and others.

New episodes of "LA Ink" will run through October 30.
