Ben Kingsley is in final negotiations to play a Doctor Who villain in the fourth series of the British sci-fi show, according to reports. The You Kill Me star will fit his TV role as half-man, half-machine Davros around his upcoming marriage to Daniela Lavender in September.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Ben's agent has been in talks for a while now and he's very keen to play the part of Davros. A deal will be signed any day now."

Kingsley isn't the first big name celebrity name to be attached to the program - pop superstar Kylie Minogue has already filmed scenes for a Christmas episode.
