Lindsay Lohan phoned Fergie two days before she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence last week - to ask The Black Eyed Peas singer to write her a hit song.
Troubled Lohan's last album, "A Little More Personal (Raw)," was released in December 2005, and the actress was hoping to repeat her chart success from that release with a little help from hitmaker Fergie.
Unfortunately, Lohan was arrested in Los Angeles on July 24, and charged with driving under the influence - for the second time in two months - and possession of cocaine. This before she was able to work on new material with the Black Eyed Peas star.
Fergie's mother Terri Jackson says, "Lindsay called Fergie just two days before (her arrest) and told her that she really loved her song 'Big Girls Don't Cry.' Lindsay wanted Fergie to write her a song."
