Starpulse's 'Maxim.com Hot 100' Girl Of The Week: Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay's new movie I Know Who Killed Me hits theaters today, but that's not what all the recent Li-Lo talk has been about this week. Apparently the young star has fallen off the wagon again and gotten herself into more trouble.
Early Tuesday morning Lindsay was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and possession of cocaine. She had recently finished a rehab stint at the Promises rehab center, the same place Britney Spears spent her rehab time. And if it's any indication with these two, Promises isn't exactly living up to their name.
Lohan was due to promote her new film on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, but since she had 'some stuff going on' Rob Schneider gladly (and hilariously) filled in for her, much to her mother's chagrin.
Lindsay was born July 2, 1986. Her career began on the daytime soap Another World before moving on to the big screen, where she made her feature debut in the 1998 remake of Disney's The Parent Trap, in a challenging role where she played twins. Sticking with Disney, she moved on to star in another hit remake, Freaky Friday, alongside Jamie Lee Curtis.
Next, it was on to Mean Girls, written by Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey, which made Lindsay Lohan a household name.
Things started to go downhill after that though, as Lindsay began to hit the club scene and was a regular on the party circuit. She made the cross over to a music career and released a mediochre album, 'Speak,' before starring in yet another Disney remake, Herbie: Fully Loaded, where she suffered a bout of exhaustion on the set.
Things looked up for the aspiring actress as she next starred with Meryl Streep in Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion, but it was her antics and attitude on the set of Georgia Rule that drew criticism. Her late night partying made her late for work every day and the filmmakers' thoughs on her behavior was made very public.
I Know Who Killed Me opens today in theaters while Lindsay waits out her next bout with the law. Next up: she stars in the Mark David Chapman biopic Chapter 27, along with Jared Leto.
