Former The Smiths bassist Andy Rourke insists the legendary band is unlikely to reunite, because singer Morrissey is difficult to get in touch with. Rourke has had little contact with Morrissey, who now lives in Los Angeles, since the British band split in 1987.

But he refuses to rule out a regrouping. Rourke says, "He makes himself unavailable. He only communicates in postcards. But I suppose time is a great healer, and can change your perception of people."

Earlier this month, The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr revealed he still socializes with Morrissey, but the pair have never discussed reforming the group.
