Actor Erik Estrada spent years illegally driving through California for hit TV show CHiPs - because he never had a motorcycle license. The former TV cop - who played Officer Francis Llewellyn Poncherello in the cult TV show - admits he faked speeding along the California Highways in the 1970s show.
However Estrada eventually obtained his license for a recent appearance in reality TV show, Back To The Grind. The reality program invites actors to try out the roles they portrayed on TV; Estrada admits it took him three attempts to pass his motorbike test. He says, "It's much harder in real life than when you act."
