Actor Bart Burns Dies
Veteran actor Bart Burns has died of natural causes. He was 89. Burns, who starred on the Broadway stage, on TV and in movies over the course of 50 years, passed away at his home in West Hills, California on July 11th. Born George Joseph Burns in New York City, he changed his name in 1947 to avoid any confusion with the legendary comedian.
Burns went on to make hundreds of guest appearances on TV shows including Gunsmoke, Columbo, Baretta and The Rockford Files. His movie career included parts in Seven Days In May, The Iceman Cometh and Legal Eagles.
