Arctic MonkeysSinger Amy Winehouse and rock group Arctic Monkeys are among the 12 nominees for the 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize. Winehouse and Arctic Monkeys' second albums - Back To Black and Favourite Worse Nightmare - were announced on the shortlist at a conference at London's The Hospital venue on Tuesday.

British bookmakers William Hill have given 4/1 odds that either acts take home the coveted prize on September 4. Arctic Monkeys took home the gong last year for their debut disc Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, while 2003's winner, London rapper Dizzee Rascal is up for his third album Maths & English.
