Collins Recalls Backstage Clash With Co-Star Evans

Veteran actress Joan Collins has launched a scathing attack on former Dynasty co-star Linda Evans. The pair, who played the warring Alexis Colby and Krystle Carrington in the 1980s TV series, were constantly at loggerheads during last year's tour of the play Legends!.
And in extracts from the personal diary, Collins reveals how the pair were embroiled in bitter fights.
She writes: "Two weeks of relative peace until the director and stage manager summon me to Linda's dressing-room because I'm apparently p---ing her off again. I've discovered a funny piece of slapstick... But Linda's been silently fuming because, again, it 'cuts into her moment'...
"The 'powers that be' have decided that mollifying Linda is more important than getting the audience to laugh."
The 74-year-old was also disappointed at her co-star's lack of social graces.
She adds: "Maybe Lindsay isn't as much of a devious bitch as I thought - more of a ditzy blonde. Then she invites the entire cast out to dinner - without Percy (Collins' husband) and me. We've invited her to every one of our parties and dinners. This is exactly what used to happen during Dynasty: I'd ask her to my parties but she never reciprocated."
