The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers was horrified when rapper Ice Cube turned from hip-hop pioneer to Hollywood actor, branding his move "hypocritical". The Las Vegas singer, 26, admires eighties rap collective N.W.A., which was founded by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.
But Flowers admits his opinion of Ice Cube, real name O'Shea Jackson, has fallen considerably since watching the rapper's movies Are We There Yet?, Are We Done Yet? and Torque.
He says, "I don't necessarily have a problem with the culture of hip-hop, it's the hypocrisy of people within it I can't bare.
"Look at Ice Cube now, for example. He's in some awful kids' movie, playing happy families with a couple of 10-year-olds. This is the man who was one of the founding members of N.W.A. I just don't get the turnaround."
