Actor Jesse Metcalfe has made a desperate plea to win back his Girls Aloud pop star ex Nadine Coyle. The couple ended their 14-month relationship in April after the Desperate Housewives star was photographed holding hands with a mystery brunette in Los Angeles - just days after leaving rehab.

The 28-year-old says, "I have to persuade her that I didn't cheat on her. I was always faithful to her and never cheated. Those girls that I was photographed with meant nothing to me. I would never betray Nadine. I still love her and it is my dream that we get back together soon."

The Hollywood hunk, who earlier this year spent a month in a California rehab clinic to receive treatment for "alcohol issues," also insists he was been "100 per cent sober for three and a half months."
