Actress Carly Schroeder endured a tough time on the set of recent soccer movie Gracie - she finished the film covered in bruises. The 16-year-old, who stars as a teenage girl desperate to play competitive soccer in the 1970s-set movie, pushed herself to the limit during the physical shoot.

She says, "Having all those bruises to show off to people was the best part. I got elbowed in the back when we were doing some of the training sequences. I ripped my knees to pieces while I was doing some of the sliding stunts. I got slide-tackled, and we thought I broke my ankle. And during one scene, a goalie trying to save the goal kicked me right in the knee."
