Melanie Chisholm is confident the Spice Girls' return to the charts will be more successful than their recently reformed counterparts, Take That. The singer - dubbed Sporty Spice - insists the girl group's comeback will be more successful than that of their male pop rivals, thanks to their past success around the world.

She says, "One thing that's different with the Spice Girls is that we were truly global. We are going to America. Take That never did." The Spice Girls' reunion, which was announced on Thursday will see the group release a greatest hits compilation and embark on an 11-date tour taking in London, New York, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Sydney, Madrid and Beijing.
