Skeet UlrichSkeet Ulrich has publicly thanked Jericho fans who kept the show alive by inundating TV executives with nutty gifts. The cult drama, about a community surviving the aftermath of a nuclear blast, was axed earlier this year, due to sliding ratings, but the show's devoted fans prompted TV bosses to reconsider their actions.

Superfan Jeff Knoll linked up with online company NutsOnline.com to let TV bosses know just what he thought of them. Other fans caught wind of Knoll's idea, and sent over 20,000 pounds of nuts to various network executives in New York and Los Angeles. The nutty action prompted the TV bosses to give the series a reprieve - and Ulrich, who stars in the show, admits he's grateful to fans.

He tells the new issue of TV Guide magazine, "It's difficult for me to imagine there was an uprising for something I was part of. It's their (fans) show now."

The star admits he was stunned when the show was cancelled: "We were all very pumped about our material and what we were bringing to it and I think that sort of negated the reality of the ratings."
