Veteran TV executive Ed Friendly
has died at the age of 85. Friendly died at his home near San Diego, California, on Tuesday after a year-long battle with cancer.
He was best known as co-creator of the 1960s comedy series Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In
and producer of family drama Little House on the Prairie
. He also worked for major broadcast networks ABC, CBS and NBC but later formed his own production company Ed Friendly Productions.
