Aaron Gillespie has been best known for his bone-crunching vocals and talent behind the drums in the Florida-based band, Underoath. Now, his newer project, The Almost, lets Gillespie put a different, more melodic side of himself on display. Essentially a solo effort, the project has evolved into a full band with Jay Vilardi (guitar), Dusty Redmon (guitar), Alex Aponte (bass) and Kenny Bozich (drums) rounding out the lineup. The debut album, Southern Weather, was released April 3rd via Virgin/Tooth & Nail, and has sold over 72,000 copies since its debut at #29 on the Billboard 200.

After wrapping up a successful spring tour with Paramore, a string of shows with Say Anything and a stint at the Bamboozle festival, The Almost will perform on the majority of the Vans Warped Tour this summer (except 6/21, 7/21 and 7/22), alongside Underoath. For this music-obsessed songwriter/singer, giving his fans a double-dose of his music at the highly-anticipated tour is nothing but a dream.

Aaron Gillespie has a busy - and very "warped" - summer ahead of him. Not only will the singer/songwriter rock the drum set and vocals with Underoath, but he will also fill his position as frontman of his latest project, The Almost. With varying music in each of the two bands, Gillespie will truly be in two "places" at once. Both bands will play at this year's Vans Warped Tour, with 47 tour dates, kicking off on June 29 in Pomona, CA.
