Beastie Boys star Mike Diamond's love for surfing has made him realize the world is in crisis - because his pals keep getting sick. The Sabotage hitmaker, who will be part of the Live Earth global warming awareness shows next month, insists he was among the first people to appreciate the dangers of climate change - because he saw it from his surfboard.
The Buddhist campaigner and rights activist says, "When I surf, I notice a lot of people are getting sick - and that's a bad sign.
"There's a huge amount of beach erosion that nobody's seen. It's right in front of your eyes."
