Former child actor Anthony Michael Hall sympathizes with troubled stars Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan because the pressure they're under is far greater than he was ever subjected to.

The Breakfast Club actor isn't surprised young Hollywood celebrities are being jailed and entering rehab because the cult of fame has grown so much in the last few years.

The 39-year-old says, "I think there's even more pressure today, because celebrity is a bigger deal than it ever has been... and technology, people taking pictures with their camera phones.

"These young stars have a lot of pressure to be moguls, to have their own clothing line, so there's more for them to achieve and also there's a greater pressure."
