Veteran rapper Ice-T had some words of advice shortly before Paris Hilton began her jail sentence on Sunday - assault a fellow inmate to serve your time in protective custody. The singer claims Hilton would find it less traumatic away from the general prison population.

He says, "If I was her, I would hit someone the second I got in there and go into PC, protective custody. Then she's just got to sit in there and read some books."

Hilton is serving 23 days for violating her parole following a 2006 drunk-driving arrest.
