'Pirates' Sequel Suffers A Drop In Booty But Still Sails Strong

Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's EndPirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End is the number-one film for the second successive week, despite a 62.4 percent fall in booty from last weekend. The blockbuster sequel took in $43.2 million, compared to the $114.7 million it made in a three-day period a week ago.

Knocked Up is a new entry at number two, taking $29.3 million - almost as much money as the $33 million cost to make.

Animated adventure Shrek The Third drops a place to third with $26.7 million, while Kevin Costner movie Mr. Brooks is a new entry at four with $10 million. Superhero film Spider-Man 3 is at number five with $7.5 million, taking its total U.S. box-office gross to $318 million.
