Roger MooreHollywood actor Roger Moore has launched a campaign to ban French delicacy foie gras in the U.K, insisting it is "a disease" not a meal. The former Bond star has teamed up with People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) to call for a ban of the delicacy - made from the liver of goose or duck - and sent British members of Parliament a video of ducks being force-fed.

He says, "In foie gras farms across Europe and the U.S., metal pipes are used to cram as much as four pounds of grain and fat down the throats of birds and geese, thereby causing their livers to become painfully diseased and swell up to 10 times the normal size.

"Foie gras is a disease, not a delicacy."
