star Shia LaBeouf
is fighting fit for the upcoming Indiana Jones IV
movie but regrets the fact his film career has ended his surfing obsession. The young actor, who will play Harrison Ford's
sidekick in the new adventure movie, reveals director Steven Spielberg
told him to get fit for the new film - but insisted he stayed away from the ocean.
LaBeouf says, "Steven said midway through the working out thing, 'I don't want you to get big. Just be ready for what we're about to do and show me some of the skills so I know you're ready.' So I've never been in better shape in my life and I've never been more athletic. I train every day. Unfortunately, surfing work-outs are out of the question - I used to surf a lot but you can't do it because of insurance reasons, in case you get hurt."
However LaBeouf admits he was tiring of some of the more painful and annoying aspects of surfing anyway: "When you get caught up in the laundry thing, where you're swimming at the bottom of the ocean and you don't know where you're going, that's not fun."
