John Cleese Now Has A Landfill Named After him

British funnyman John Cleese has received the dubious honor of having a landfill site named after him in New Zealand. The Monty Python star incensed the residents of Palmerston North in 2005 when he dubbed the city the "suicide capital of New Zealand" during a tour there.
He said, "If you wish to kill yourself but lack the courage to, I think a visit to Palmerston North will do the trick."
Now the city has exacted revenge by naming a garbage tip after their high-profile critic last weekend. The heap of litter has been dubbed Mount Cleese and waste manager Chris Parker has no intention of removing the label.
He says, "Somebody had the sign made up as a joke. It has popped up overnight and nobody has said to pull it down.
"People just smile and leave it there."
