Michael BubleCanadian crooner Michael Buble has scored a rare feat on the new US album charts by jumping to number one. The top spot is usually reserved for best-selling new entries, but Buble's Call Me Irresponsible has moved up a place after debuting at number two last week.

The singer's new release outsold every other album in America last week, even though it suffered a 32 per cent sales drop. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Strength & Loyalty debuts at two on the new chart with an impressive 119,000 sales week, while R&B hunk Bobby Valentino claims the number three spot with new entry Special Occasion.

Last week's number one from Ne-Yo, Because of You, drops to number four, while Avril Lavigne's The Best Damn Thing continues its slide to five.

Meanwhile, golden-voiced diva Barbra Streisand earns her 29th top 10 album with Streisand: Live in Concert 2006, which debuts at number seven on the new chart.

And Bjork scores her highest debut in America by taking Volta to number nine.
