'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Deals With Brother's Death
This past Monday the entire crew was headed for Denver, Colorado to begin filming a "Bounty Hunter" special tentatively entitled "Dogography," which is set to air this coming August on A&E, when Tim Chapman received an urgent call and was re-routed to Mississippi.
The Chapmans have had a tough fourteen months, by any standard, having suffered three deaths which started with the death of Beth's father, Garry Smith in March 2006, followed by the death of Duane "Dog" Chapman's 23-year-old daughter, Barbara Katie Chapman, on the eve of Dog's May wedding to long time partner Beth Smith. Tim Chapman, along with Duane "Dog" Chapman and his son, Leland, were arrested last September 14th and are still battling extradition to Mexico in connection with the 2003 Andrew Luster capture.
Russell Chapman was a beloved member of Dog's bounty hunter posse for more than 22 years with Russ himself being a fourth generation bail bondsman. He lived his life on the road with the stars of the A&E reality show moving between their homes in Colorado and Hawaii. He will be deeply missed by everyone on the team as great sadness sets in once again on the Chapman family.
Russ Chapman was 44 years old and is survived by his daughter Amber Rae, his mother, his sisters and his blood brother Tim Chapman, who carries the same name as the famous Chapman family.
