George Lucas Is Honored At Film Festival
Star Wars creator George Lucas has been honored at the 50th San Francisco International Film Festival in California. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker - who was feted for the hugely successful Star Wars and Indiana Jones films - credited his love of experimentation with his success as he picked up the Irving 'Bud' Levin Award. He says, "I'm out of the mainstream. I can do things that are not considered to be too logical or too smart. But those are the things that pay off." The director is now preparing to produce the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones franchise.
Funnyman Robin Williams and movie maker Spike Lee were also presented with awards at the ceremony.
