A Los Angeles soccer team comprising of celebrity talent including singer Robbie Williams, Heroes' star Santiago Cabrera and actor Richard Jenik were left red faced after they suffered an embarrassing defeat.

LA Vale were beaten 5-1 by Des Moines Menace in Iowa for a charity exhibition game. It was the star-studded team's debut, and it looks as if it could be their first and last outing.

An onlooker says, "The Vale put up a valiant fight but the Menace were too strong for the LA squad."
