Icelandic singer Bjork does not rate her performance in Dancer In The Dark despite winning an industry award for the role. Bjork admits she only took on the part to please director Lars von Trier because he had also given her the opportunity to write the soundtrack.
Her role won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000, but the singer reveals she hasn't actually watched the movie.
She tells gay magazine Attitude, "There's a misunderstanding that I don't want to act because of that movie, but I never really wanted to. I made an exception because of the director. So afterwards it wasn't that that experience was so horrible that I didn't do it again it was more like 'Oh yes I'm back to music!'
"I still haven't been able to watch that movie, but then again I don't listen to my own albums because you just move on."
