The Jesus And Mary Chain performed their first gig in nine years on Thursday - although reports actress Scarlett Johansson was to duet with the cult rockers proved unfounded.

The British band played the Glass House venue in Pomona, California, in what was billed as a warm-up concert for tonight's appearance at the Coachella Festival.

Giant Drag singer Annie Hardy sang the female vocals on Just Like Honey, and not Johansson as had been reported.
