TV illusionist Raymond Teller will surprise William Shakespeare fans when he brings Macbeth to the stage next year - as a "supernatural horror thriller".

Teller, of Penn & Teller fame, has long dreamed of using magic tricks, such as vanishing daggers, to enhance the dark tragedy.

He describes the production, which will be staged by the Two River Theater Company in Red Bank, New Jersey, as "dark and creepy and full of murders and supernatural events. It's just great."
