Actress Keisha Castle-Hughes nearly turned her back on the film industry following her 2004 Oscar nomination for Whale Rider, because she was horrified by the media "circus" that she was suddenly engulfed in.
The 17-year-old, who later went on to appear in Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith and The Nativity Story, admits she wanted to quit making movies after she was thrust into the limelight at the age of 13.
She says, "It was like a circus and it scared me. I was only 13 and it scared me. I said after the Oscars I can't do this job because I hate this part so much."
