Erasure Joins 'True Colors' Tour In Support Of Human Rights Campaign

When it came time to create the video for "I Could Fall in Love With You''--the first single from Erasure's upcoming album Light At The End Of The World, out May 22 via Mute-- Andy Bell and Vince Clarke chose to put the task in the hands of three young cinematographers in London, New York and Los Angeles. The concept was sweet and simple as each filmmaker took to the streets of their native city, asking passing couples (young, old, gay, straight, parents, children) if they would agree to kiss or embrace on camera.
In addition, a bulletin went out asking fans for their own video submissions and the response was astounding. The resulting intentionally low-fi video depicts exclusive footage of Vince and Andy recording their new album in the studio and handfuls of stills from their personal albums, all interspersed with the filmmakers' footage and fan submissions.
In touring news, Erasure will join Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, The Gossip, Dresden Dolls, The Misshapes and more on the multi-act "True Colors" tour in support of the Human Rights Campaign. This 15-city nationwide tour, presented by Logo, kicks off Gay & Lesbian Pride Month on June 8th at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena and wraps-up June 30 in Los Angeles at the Greek theater.
