David and Victoria Beckham are horrified with their celebrity chef pal Gordon Ramsay after discovering he is planning to slaughter the lambs currently living on their English country estate.

The Beckhams gave Ramsay permission to let his lambs graze on the land at their Beckingham Palace home in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire after he claimed his own London garden was too small. However, Ramsay failed to notify the couple the lambs weren't family pets, but future meals at his London eateries.

A spokesman for Ramsay's British TV show The F-Word, says, "The lambs are having a bit of a holiday at the Beckhams' house, but the series will show their lives from conception to the dinner table. They will be slaughtered and eaten on the final episode of the series."

A spokeswoman for Victoria, adds, "She was more than happy to let the sheep roam around her grounds, but as, a devout vegetarian, she will be distraught to learn that they're going to be killed."
