Punk icon Henry Rollins has a secret dream to back soul queen Gladys Knight. The former Black Flag star is an unlikely fan of Gladys Knight & The Pips and admits he rehearsed to become the first white Pip when he was a teenager.

He says, "I wanted to be a Pip because I saw them on Soul Train... and every time she'd do something, they all had the choreographed move, and they wore tuxes (tuxedos) and they didn't sweat. I actually rehearsed it in the mirror, I had it down... It should haven been me, but no one ever put Gladys and I together, so I'm waiting for that call."
