Together on stage for the first time in more than 30 years, Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, two founding members of the legendary UK beat group The Zombies, performed live at the Bloomsbury theater in London in 2003. The special concert captures the duo playing the group's well-known hits along with new songs from As Far As I Can See, the 2004 album that brought Blunstone and Argent together again as The Zombies. Rhino Records captures this classic concert from one of the most influential and critically revered bands of all time with a double-disc CD set and a DVD. Live At The Bloomsbury Theater, London was released on April 3.
The CD version of Live At The Bloomsbury Theater, London contains the entire 25-song performance including The Zombies' international hits "She's Not There" and "Time Of The Season" along with the popular Blunstone and Argent hits "Say You Don't Mind," "Misty Roses," "Hold Your Head Up" and "God Gave Rock 'N Roll To You." The collection also features performances of new songs from As Far As I Can See… including "In My Mind A Miracle," "I Want To Fly," and "I Don't Believe In Miracles," a hit by Blunstone that was re-recorded for the latest album.
The DVD distills the concert into 16 powerful performances including "This Will Be Our Year," "A Rose For Emily," "Beechwood Park" and "Time Of The Season." The songs are drawn from The Zombies' 1968 psychedelic masterpiece Odessey & Oracle, an album Mojo magazine describes as "…without a doubt, one of the best albums of its era…" and Rolling Stone ranked at #80 in the magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The Live At The Bloomsbury Theater, London DVD closes with a pair of Top 10 singles - "Tell Her No" and "She's Not There" - from the band's breakout 1964 debut, followed by "God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You," a hit for Argent in 1973.
