American band Bleeding Through have fired guitarist Scott Danough and have gained Australian rocker Jona Weinhofen in his place. The remaining members of the Orange County, California-based group say the decision was amicable and wish Danough every success.

A statement read, "We felt that we had grown apart and it was time for both parties to move on. We wish him the best.

"We are already writing new material and looking forward to our next tour, which will be in Canada."

As a result of the switch, Weinhofen's band I Killed The Prom Queen have split, citing the inability to find a new guitarist behind the break-up.
