Pink Thanks Jimmy Kimmel For Letting Her Perform
In the controversial song, Pink asks, "How can you say no child is left behind/We're not dumb and we're not blind/They're all sitting in your cells/While you pave the road to hell."
The super-critical song continues, "What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away/And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay/I can only imagine what the first lady has to say/You've come a long way from whisky and cocaine."
Pink told the Jimmy Kimmel Live host, "I have to thank you so much (because) you're the only show that's not afraid of letting me sing Dear Mr. President... I can't even speak about it on radio.
"It's a questioning song. I think that's one of my more intelligent songs... These are my questions, they're not theoretical. I think they're questions that a lot of people have and we could probably use some answers."
When Kimmel joked if the pop star was hoping Bush will reply with a song attacking her, she quipped, "Yes, through Eminem."
