William H. MacyHollywood actor William H. Macy has taken control of his own movie career, after suffering a 'midlife crisis' when he turned 50.

The actor, who only found fame in his forties with roles in Boogie Nights, Fargo and Magnolia, says reaching 50 made him review his life and address what he was lacking.

When he hit the milestone, Macy, 57, start writing again and began to take control of his own projects, and as a result now has two films coming out: Keep Coming Back, a romantic drama starring Salma Hayek; and The Deal, a comedy about the movie business.

Macy says, "Just after 50 I took stock of my own life. I looked at my career and said, 'Is this it? Is this the guy that did Fargo? And now it's a steady slide to the grave?'"
