Australian actress Rose Byrne moved to London after life in Hollywood made her feel uncomfortable. The star, who spent a year living in Los Angeles and is currently in Manhattan filming an unnamed pilot of a legal drama also starring Glenn Close, says she prefers life in Hackney, east London.

She says, "I never quite felt at home in my skin in Los Angeles. Plus I have family in London and quite a bit of work has come up for me in Europe."

Byrne says her boyfriend of four years, actor and playwright Brendan Cowell, "commutes back and forth between Sydney and London, if you can call it commuting."
