Another One Voted Off 'American Idol' (It Wasn't Sanjaya)

American IdolThe American Idol quest of Top 9 finalist Gina Glocksen ended last night when it was announced that she received the fewest votes. Tuesday’s performance show featured the Top 9 finalists performing “American Classics” after being mentored by the legendary Tony Bennett. Glocksen, 22, from Naperville, IL, sang Smile. Nearly 33 million votes, this season’s highest total, were received after the show. On Wednesday, Michael Bublé performed the title track from his forthcoming CD, “Call Me Irresponsible,” and it was revealed that Glocksen will not be moving forward in the competition.

Jennifer LopezNext week, television’s most popular show heats up when the Top 8 finalists (Melinda Doolittle, LaKisha Jones, Blake Lewis, Sanjaya Malakar, Chris Richardson, Haley Scarnato, Jordin Sparks and Phil Stacey) compete head-to-head again on Tuesday, April 10 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). Superstar Jennifer Lopez will mentor the contestants as they prepare for the Latin-themed performance show. Tune in the following night to see Lopez, one of America’s favorite talents, perform her new single Qué Hiciste, and find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who must go home on the live results show Wednesday, April 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.
