Heather MillsHeather Mills literally jumped for joy on Monday night's Dancing With The Stars because the program fell on the one-year anniversary of her painful revision amputation. The celebrity amputee kicked off her performance on the dance contest by jumping from a stage and jiving on a specially-made prosthetic leg, and she admits that alone was the furthest thing from her mind as she underwent painful surgery on April 2, 2006.

She explains, "It was a year to that date that I had my revision amputation, and the doctor that did it came to the show and he was so excited that he'd contributed hugely to me being able to dance. A year ago I was in so much pain; I had muscle tissue wastage and pain... and he just took about two inches off, ground it down, made a base so that I could actually move on it without being in pain... so he got very emotional. It was like a milestone. A year ago I was having this big operation, and there I am dancing."
