Warren BeattyFormer Hollywood heartthrob Warren Beatty is determined to claim the credit for inspiring Carly Simon song You're So Vain, even though the singer has never revealed who she wrote it about.

The identity of the man vilified by Simon in the 1973 has been one of showbiz's longest lasting secrets, with Simon refusing to confirm she wrote it about former lover Beatty.

But the star - who turned 70 last week - insists, "Let's be honest. That song is about me."
