Former US soccer star Mia Hamm and her husband, baseball player Nomar Garciaparra, are celebrating after becoming parents to twins earlier today.

Hamm, 33, played on the US women's national soccer team for 18 years before announcing her retirement after the 2004 Athens Olympics.
