Bee Gees To Be Honored At BMI Music Awards

Bee Gees Music icons the Bee Gees are set to be honored at the Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) Music Awards later this year. The Bee Gees, who have won a total of 109 BMI awards during their 35-year career, will be recognized for their "unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers".

Surviving bandmembers Barry and Robin Gibb will receive the accolade at a ceremony in Beverly Hills, California on 15 May. Brother Maurice died in 2003.

The group will joins previous recipients of the award Paul Simon, James Brown, Carlos Santana and Dolly Parton when they are honored by the organization.
