Rocker Scott Weiland and his wife Mary have been caught up in a Burbank, California hotel controversy after allegedly trashing their suite. Weiland and his partner reportedly ripped alarm clocks and phones from their sockets and threw them across the room and made "dents and gauges" in the walls.

Reports suggest staff at the Burbank hotel also found blood on towels.

Website TMZ reports the couple got into "a huge argument" in front of their kids on Saturday and, after Weiland left the hotel suite, his wife could be heard throwing things in the room.

Police officers were called to the suite, and the hotel is now pressing charges for the damage caused.

It isn't the first time the couple's turbulent relationship has hit the headlines - Weiland pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges against his wife in December 2001, and was fined and sentenced to probation.
