Ex-ABBA stars Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus have won a court battle over who owns the script rights to a hit musical, allowing the pair to stage the production as a full Broadway spectacular.
The duo argued the musical, Kristina Fran Duvemala, belonged to them and scriptwriters Lars Rudolfsson and Jan Mark, but Carl-Johan Seth, who wrote the production's first draft, disputed this.
And following the decision made in Sweden today, Andersson and Ulvaeus can now set about bringing Kristina Fran Duvemala to the New York stage.
Seth's lawyer Staffan Michelson has confirmed his client plans to appeal the decision.
A ninth of the people in ABBA's native Sweden have seen Kristina Fran Duvemala.
