Pop star Gwen Stefani never intended to continue with her solo career beyond her debut album Love Angel Music Baby - she just got carried away.
The singer and fashion designer insists she was determined to make one dance album away from her band No Doubt, and stop there.
But before she knew it, Stefani found herself promoting her second solo effort, The Sweet Escape.
She says, "I recently had lunch with the rest of No Doubt and we talked about how this solo career was never meant to last this long.
"I just wanted to make that dance record I always wanted to make.
"Then it turned into a tour and now there's another record and another tour on the way.
"I just wasn't inspired to do another album and that's why this one is so different to the first. The last one was so stylized but with this, I was a lot more relaxed making it."
