Claudia Schiffer: 'It Is Wrong To Discriminate Against Slim, Healthy Girls'
Last week British beauty Naomi Campbell made her feelings known as she collected the Best Model accolade at the Elle Style Awards in London.
Campbell, 36, insisted it was wrong to blame the fashion industry for "a psychological disease" and refused to accept skeletal stars are the result of pressures from within the industry.
Now Schiffer has added her weight to the debate, maintaining svelte figures are not necessarily unnatural. She says, "It is wrong to discriminate against slim, healthy girls."
However, she concedes models with eating disorders are a big concern, adding, "Dieting is not the solution. A healthy life is."
